What's up with the rock?

The spirit rock outside the school along Pleasant Road is a Fort Mill school tradition. Families paint the rock to celebrate a child's birthday, special occasions or sometimes group activities, like in the picture above!

How does it work?

Your reservation is for 24 hours starting at 5pm the day before your reserved date.

  •  Example: You have the rock reserved for February 6th- the rock is available to you starting at 5pm on February 5th until 5pm on February 6th

How much does it cost?

The fee to reserve the rock is $10 per day.**Reservations should not exceed 2 days**

Reservations are non-refundable.The rock is yours, once reserved, RAIN or SHINE!

How do you reserve the rock?

Click on the SHOP tab on this site

    •  You will have to register on the website and fill out the family information if you have not previously done so. Each year your family information will have to be updated (you're shop tab will be empty until this is done.)
  • Pick your date and complete the checkout process

Have you reserved a date and don't remember what you picked?

You can always refer back to your orders tab to see which date you reserved!

How does the actual painting get done?

However you want. Most families prefer to spray paint the rock with their child or surprise them with an original design that's meaningful to them. There are local businesses or talented neighbors who will paint the rock for you, as well. Arranging those services privately is up to you after you have selected a date.
